Build Architecture Awards 2017
Hampton Architecture has been awarded the Best High-End Residential Architecture Practice - West Midlands & Best Warwickshire Large Residential for our Build Project: Downlands. Below is an extract from the published article in the official BUILD awards magazine.
Hampton Architecture is a well-established CIAT registered practice, based in Solihull and founded in 2003 by Principal, Marcus Ham. Whether it is a contemporary suburban family home, exclusive country estate, listed townhouse or larger scale multiple unit development, their bespoke architectural service is tailored to suit each individual client. Marcus explains the firm’s core focus.
“At Hampton Architecture, we pride ourselves in being able to respond to client’s specific requirements, by balancing original thinking with proven residential design principles and sound design team management. We have been very successful in securing planning permission for several large scale private dwellings in sensitive areas, including green belt, private estates, conservation areas and sites with a high level of local interest. When undertaking a project of this nature, the ability to approach the design sensitively, consider local community worries and produce a scheme which enhances the surroundings is key.”
Staff, as in many businesses, are essential to the firm’s success, but Hampton Architecture also focuses on supporting its clients and ensuring excellence for them at all times, as Marcus is eager to emphasise.
‘Ours is a people business, you must be able to understand your client, their needs and aspirations, even their daily routine and their style – this applies to one off clients, and also to the new build market. When we see that our designs have changed the way people live - on a small or large scale, it spurs us on to do the same for each and every client going forward’.
“With almost all of our new projects coming from retained and repeat clients, or word of mouth recommendations, we will always go the extra mile to maintain our reputation for a high level of service, and innovative design.”
“Another factor that always features very highly in positive feedback received, is our ability to listen. It almost sounds too simple - reports from clients, local authorities and industry partners all commend our willingness to take on board ideas and react accordingly to improve and add value to a developing design.” Moving forward, Marcus is focused on expanding and growing the business, concentrating on continuing to provide the highest quality design possible. With several industry and local authority awards already in the bag, the opening of new offices in Henley-In-Arden in 2017, and some very interesting projects in the pipeline, the future looks bright for Hampton Architecture.Back
